Real Name: Mulaza Kaira, also known by stage names like Macky II, MK, DJ Bugar, and Flava Boy.
Born in Luanshya and raised in Ndola, he grew up in the Copperbelt. His siblings, Chef 187 and Towela Kaira, are also well-known artists, while another brother, Mariachi Kaira, is less publicly active in music.
He is married to Cheelo Hantiinga Kaira and together they have two children, including a daughter named Faith.
Macky 2’s love for music began in church, where he attended Catholic services in Ndola. During his school years, he performed in variety shows and local events, experiences that helped him build confidence and refine his talent.
In 2011, he moved to Lusaka to pursue music full-time and released his first album Ndimupondo under Digital X, in collaboration with Alpha Entertainment and J-Kayo. The album featured hits like “I Am The President” and “Number 1 Fan”, which gained nationwide recognition and marked the beginning of his rise.
In 2022, he released OLIJABA, which he announced as his final album. Beyond music, Macky 2 runs the Macky 2 Hope Foundation, supporting orphans and vulnerable children, and has also expressed interest in joining politics, with plans to contest the Nchanga parliamentary seat in 2026
