Mampi

Mirriam Mukape, professionally known as Mampi or the "Queen Diva," is a celebrated Zambian singer, songwriter, and actress known for her powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence. Born on August 4, 1986, in Lusaka, she began singing in church at age six. Despite losing both parents as a teenager and facing periods of homelessness and financial hardship, Mampi pursued her passion for music, performing for free to gain experience and gradually building her career. She released her debut album Maloza in 2005, followed by Chimo Ni Chimo (2007) and Natural Born Star (2012), blending R&B, kwaito, and reggae. Her fame grew further when she appeared on Big Brother Africa: StarGame in 2012, and she has since won multiple awards, becoming one of Zambia’s most influential female artists.
