Makumba Makumba, professionally known as Maku Squared – Voice of Zambia, is a passionate artist from Nchelenge, Luapula Province. He began his music career on 28th April 2020, stepping into the industry with a strong vision to make his voice heard across Zambia and beyond.
His music blends Hip-Hop, Afro, and Dancehall, creating a style that’s both modern and proudly African. Inspired by artists like Star Jon and No Gee, Maku Squared developed a distinct sound that represents his creativity, energy, and drive.
Throughout his journey, he has faced obstacles — including losing one of his songs due to unfair treatment by a music promoter despite investing his own money — but these challenges have only made him stronger. Deeply committed to his craft, he vows that he will “never leave the music industry until my death.”
Believing that he is “a big thing for the years to come,” Maku Squared continues to refine his talent and push his limits, aiming to inspire others through his music and passion.
